Collaboration
Work on LaTeX projects with co-authors in real time. TeXeR supports live collaborative editing similar to Google Docs.
Inviting collaborators
- Open your project and click the Share button in the toolbar
- Enter your collaborator's email address
- Choose a role: Editor (can edit files) or Viewer (read-only)
- They'll receive an email with an invite link
Collaborators need a TeXeR account. If they don't have one, the invite link will guide them through signup first.
Real-time editing
When multiple people are editing the same project:
- Live cursors: see where each collaborator is typing
- Live selections: see what text others have selected
- Instant sync: edits appear in real time for everyone
- Conflict resolution: handled automatically via operational transforms
Managing access
From the project's share settings, you can:
- Change a collaborator's role between Editor and Viewer
- Remove a collaborator from the project
- Transfer project ownership to another collaborator
Note: Real-time collaboration requires the Team plan. On the Free and Pro plans, you can still share projects but editing is not simultaneous. See Pricing for details.
Version history
Every file change is tracked. You can:
- Browse the full history of any file
- Create named snapshots (e.g., "Before reviewer comments")
- Restore any previous version with one click
